MOOSE-ies for Families – Follow a Stream

Venture on a nature walk at Leary Field and Forest, May 11 from 10-11:30AM, as part of our MOOSE-ies for Families nature-oriented program! Led by MMRG Events Coordinator Jenn Woodard, families will follow a stream flowing through the conserved woodlands of the Leary property in Farmington, NH. Participants will explore along the stream’s banks and in the stream for creatures – from tiny stream insects to larger amphibians like salamanders and frogs. We will also tread lightly in the forest in search of the special plants popping up in the spring.
This event is open to non-members, and children of all ages are welcome with their families. Families should bring rubber boots, a change of pants and socks, and a snack for the children as well as optional buckets for collecting. Please note that exploring in the stream is dependent on stream temperature and weather conditions.
