Vernal Pool Walk

This event is presented by the Milton Conservation Commission, UNH Cooperative Extension, Branch Hill Farm, and Moose Mountains Regional Greenways.
Location: Branch Hill Farm’s ‘Jones Brook East’ Woodlands
UNH Extension County Forester, Lindsay Watkins, will be leading this walk.
Vernal pools are seasonal wetlands — important to invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles and birds. Join us to learn more about these critical habitats and learn to identify some vernal pool residents such as wood frogs, spotted salamanders, and fairy shrimp.
This free event will be a family-friendly leisurely walk over moderate terrain in north Milton. No pets please.
